Running sequential
PumMa is designed to be run on UNIX platforms, although a simplified Windows version exists for educational purposes. PumMa can easily be started in its sequential version from the command line by typing PumMa, assuming the program is properly installed and the binary is in a directory known to the environment variable $PATH.
When PumMa is started in this way, it automatically looks for the file containing the input options called input.pif. When the input file is named differently it has to be supplied to PumMa as an extra argument on the command line, for instance, when the input file is called conf.pif PumMa can be started by typing on the command line PumMa conf.pif.
To capture all the information PumMa sends to the screen, one can uses the common UNIX commands to send the information to file. For instance PumMa > screen.dat.
